How many blogs do you really own? Do you have 10 different blogs that you update daily, weekly, or do you just have one blog that you strictly focus on? Many of us have quite a few blogs that we use to Make Money Online. The reason why we have many blogs is quite simply actually.

The great thing about blogs is that they have a huge tendency to grow fairly easily. All you have to do is make a few posts, then you can sit back and update it every now and then. It will only continue to grow, become more known, get listed in search engines, bring more visitors, and in the long run, make more money. Now, the rate at which this happens will vary on a number of factors. The harder you work, the quicker you can achieve success. With all that being said blogs have an exponential growth which in time will be a good investment.

Let me demonstrate… let’s say you have a blog that makes 5 dollars a day through adsense or whatever it is you make money off with it. Let’s say you have 5 more blogs that are the same as this blog. Now your income is multiplied to x5. Now, if you do the math this will give you $30 dollars per day.

$30 may not seem like a lot but what if all of your blogs gained an extra 5$ per day. Now that number increases up to $60. See how that can really add up after awhile. Who knows, maybe you will decide to make 5 more blogs. Maybe one of your blogs will end up making you 5x more then what it already does. The possibilities are just endless with blogs.

There are people who can make thousands of dollars per day with multiple websites. Get this though, There are people who make thousands of dollars with JUST 1 website. I hope you are starting to see the potential here. This is what opened my eyes to start making money online. If you think about the long-run and not so much on instant results, you can really make yourself some decent cash.

Of course it all comes down to how much work you put in and all that crap you already know about. However, over time you will not have to focus as much on certain tasks, which in return gives you more time to make more money.

This is just some of my rambles about earnings from multiple blogs as opposed to just earning from one. How many blogs do you own? Do you have 1 more that you make a steady income from, or do you have many? I would like to know .

Most people here are regular readers on this blog, and most people own a blog of their own to go with that fact. What about the people who are not bloggers? Well, for all those non bloggers out there, this post is for you.

As for all those people who are bloggers? You might like rereading these tips to help you refresh your memory. Here is my post on “ 8 reasons why you should start blogging.”

1.	Blogging is fun

Blogging can be lots of fun for the bloggers themselves and also the readers as well. If you need a new hobby, try your hand out at blogging.

2.	Inspiration

I personally get inspired every single day when I first load up my blog and see what people have left for comments on the posts that I write. It encourages me to keep doing this day after day.

3.	Keeps you motivated

Blogging may seem slow at first but if you keep working at it you will slowly start to see results. It may take awhile but once you start seeing that all your effort is finally paying off it will be well worth your time. The fact that your blog is growing everyday and becoming more popular should motivate you to do the things you love to do in life.

4.	Meet new people

One of the most helpful skills that blogging has given me is that it has allowed me to meet new people. I’ve always been a shy person but blogging has really allowed me to come out of my shell and speak to the world. If your like me, blogging could help you conquer your fear of meeting new people.

5.	Increase your knowledge in your niche

There is a lot that your can learn from blogging. For example: If you have a blog about dogs then you will pretty much become an expert in that area over a given amount of time. You can then use this knowledge to benefit the average reader.

6.	It’s a good learning experience

Blogging can teach you many things that nothing else in this world possibly can. You never know, you might even get to know your yourself a little bit better.

7. Make big bucks

Blogging can potentially make you some cash. This could be as a little as helping you pay for the pills all the way to entirely paying all your bills.

8.	Make a living from it

You can make a living off blogging. As you can see Darren makes a living off blogging and so can you. Just be warned that that it will take a lot of effort on your part to achieve this. Don’t let that scare you away though. If you really want to make a living online then try blogging.

So there’s my small little list. I hope you enjoyed it.

Every site that has Adsense installed on it will perform different then each other. So which sites perform better then others? Well, it will very from time to time, but it seems that the sites that are niche targeted will get better earnings then sites that have a more general focus.

Niche targeted sites usually just focus on one particular topic. In my case this blog focuses on making money online. Another example of a niche site would be a pure strictly golfing blog or basically anything dedicated to one topic.

These niche sites will perform better then other ”General” websites. Here are a few reasons why:

1. Niche sites are very well targeted. This means that the ads that are shown on your site will be very revelant. This also means that your ads will have a lot to do with what is on your site and will attract visitors better.

2. People who visit niche sites are only interested in one thing, and that one thing is what your site is about. If the ads on your website are exactly what your website is about then people are going to click them for often because it may just be what they are looking for.

3. Niche sites are a lot more focused and will in general give you better results with any kind of advertising. Adsense just happens to be one of the many advertising programs that work very well on niche websites.

There are a few reasons why niche sites are very good for Adsense. Lot’s of people make a living by having 1-10+ sites and sometimes many more. A site may perform good on it’s own but combine 10 and you get 10x the earnings. Also, add that fact that all your websites will just keep growing and having more content makes it even better.

There are many approaches to using Adsense. To make money with niche sites is just one of them. It is a lot easier to make money off niche sites, if your starting off, this direction might be a good choice for you.

How Adsense Placement Can Boost Your Earnings

A tactic that many people use to increase their adsense earnings is the placement of their ads. Adsense Placement can be vital to increasing your earnings. Here are a few tips that you can use as well.

1.	A common place where people put their adsense is in the fold are on their website. The fold is the area on a website that you see without scrolling down. So, when you first load up a website, the area you see is the entire fold. Here is the fold on my blog.

The reason why the fold is such a good place for adsense is because this is the area that everyone sees on your website. If you put your adsense below the fold, then there is a chance your visitors might not even scroll down to see it.

If you have noticed, I put a link ad just underneath my navigation bar on my fold. This ad is nicely blended in and gets a fairly decent amount of clicks. The idea of putting it there came from Ben. I think that this is an area that needs to be considered more often. I get many clicks from that ad and it blends in quite nicely with the rest of the site.

2.	The next area that I am going to talk about is the content area on your website. The content area is probably the most revenue generating are to place adsense but is also the most riskiest. The reason for this is because this area is where the majority of your content is.

I find that the inline ad brings in the following pluses:

+ It generates the more revenue.

+ It gets the most relevant ads.

+ It usually fits every theme very well.

However there are also some downfalls to this ad.

- It may bother some of your readers.

- It is rather large.

- It is the most intrusive ad of the bunch.

Overall if you think that your readers won’t be bothered by an inline ad then by all means go for it. If you feel that the inline ad could affect your readership then I would highly recommend you drop it.

3.	The comment area underneath your post is another good area that you can generate good adsense earnings from. It is also not that intrusive , so your readers probably won’t mind it that much. I personally find that the banner or rectangle performs the best in this area.

4.	The last place that I am going to talk about is the sidebar. The best area for putting adsense is generally near the top. The best as that fits is the links. I found that this ad tends to perform a little bit better then the content ones here. This area doesn’t perform as well as the others but It could work on your site so I recommend you try it out anyways.

I’m not going to mention the footer too much because in general it does not perform all that well at all. If you want, you can try it out a banner but chances are it won’t perform that well as an inline ad or an ad that is in the fold. The reason is simply because this ad is at the bottom of the page and doesn’t get viewed that much.

This is the end of my second post in this series. Check back tomorrow for Part 3.

Rob.

Over the next week or so I am going to be posting about my tips on how to maximize your adsense earnings. Each day will be a new category and will talk about a specific method. Some of things I will talk about are blending, placement, which ads work best, different tactics and so on. This will probably be a 5 part series. If they do well and I get a good response from readers then I may even make it longer. So, here I bring you my first post in maximizing your Adsense earnings!

Blending In Yours Ads to Suit Your Site:

Probably the most basic step in maximizing your adsense earnings is to make your ads blend in with your site. I might also add that this is probably the most easiest and basic way of increasing your adsense earnings. There are however several different ways to blend your Adsense ads into your site and this is where it can start to get a bit confusing.

The most basic and easiest way to blend your ads into your website is to use the default white background and black text like shown below.

Now this is the standard way of blending in your ads to your website and will probably work the best. You have to understand though that every site performs differently, so it may be a wiser choice to even try a more colorful blending option. Here is an example of what I mean.

As you can see this ad stands out but it still blends in well. If you have a website with a grey background, you could put different shads of grey to blend you ad in with your content. This method might work, it might not, it all depends on what your users click.

The last style that I am going to talk about is probably the one that no one ever uses but hey, it’s still worth a try. Some people use ads that are meant to stand out on purpose and look hideous to the eye. In general these ads will not perform on your standard website. For some reason some people are reporting of them doing very well. I personally would never use them but it’s all up to you.

If you are very serious about increasing your adsense earnings and trying to get the very best that you can out of Google Adsense then I would highly recommend you try all 3 of these methods. I guarantee one of them is likely to at least increase your earnings a little bit. Remember, blending is very important, it is the most basic and most used tactic to increase adsense earnings. If you blend you ads then chances are they will perform a lot better then an ad that does not blend.

If you liked this first post then stick around and drop by tomorrow because I will be posting part 2 of my maximizing your adsense series. Part 2 will talk about positioning your ads and where they will perform the best that they truly can.

If you have any question or what like some help with increasing your adsense earnings then drop me an email by contacting me. That’s it for part 1 so come back for part 2.

I got an email a few days ago from Jackee. Here is what she had to say…

Hi,

How are you? I am looking to start up my own blog and try to make money from it. I purchased blogging for dumbies but am still worried about howI can actually do it? Do you have some hints or tips for me?

Thanks,
Jackee

I’ve decided that I will answer this readers question in the form of a post to help her out and anyone else that has this very same question. So without further delay here is my top 5 tips for beginner bloggers.

1.	Blog Design – My first tip for beginner bloggers is to get a blog design that is going to be unique and your own. If you have the cash I would recommend hiring someone to design it for you if you do not know how. If you can’t afford that, simply take one of the millions of free themes out there and edit it to suit your needs. This way you can save your money and when you can afford too, get a nicer design. There is no big rush for now.

2.	Write good content – My second tip is to write good content. If you continue to write good informative, interesting, and quality posts then people are going to want to read your blog. Just make sure you post consistently and keep plugging away. As a blogger you will need to constantly write as much as your can.

3.	Comment on other blogs – The best way to get noticed early on is to comment on other blogs and let others know you exist. By commenting on other blogs you will get free back links and more chances of people visiting your site. If you comment on another bloggers blog they will probably click back and return the favour for you. This is the easiest way to build relationships with other bloggers early on.

4.	Do not over monetize – My fourth tip is to make sure you do not over stuff your blog with monetizing. The first month or two should just be about building up your readership and branding yourself. Then after you get a few posts going and are getting some decent traffic, you can monetize. I suggest that you start with adsense and then build up from there.

5.	Patience – My last and final tip is patience. If you really plan on making money online you will need patience, and a lot of it. Making money from blogging does not happen over night, and never will. Patience is a virtue and sometimes there is nothing you can do except sit back and wait.

So there are my five tips for beginner bloggers Jackee. I hope you all enjoyed them and they helped you out. If anyone wishes to add something to the list feel free to do so, and go right ahead.

Thanks for the email Jackee.

Rob.

I’ve been using TTZ media on this blog for about a month now.I wrote a post on it awhile back, you can check it out here if you wish. However, recently I took it off of every page on this website. The reason why? Well, it was not performing all that good.

I’m pretty sure I know why TTZ media was getting no clicks and hardly making me any money. The ads were not relevant, they had nothing to do with making money online. I was sure this was going to happen from the start but I’d figure I would give it a go anyways, because you never know right? It could work or it might not work at all. In this case it didn’t work.

I took off TTZ media and put Adsense up in its place. Let me tell you, this was one of the smartest moves I have ever made. Adsense is making me way more money then TTZ media has ever dreamed of. It’s no brainier that I am now deciding to keep Adsense and ditch TTZ media forever.

If this was a tech blog that did many reviews on products such as computers, laptops, ipods and all those gadgets, I could see TTZ media doing very well. This blog however is not about computers and ipods, it’s about making money online. Google Adsense gives me relevant ads that people do click and will make me money. When you are earning 0.77$ to $1.50 per click you can’t go wrong. TTZ on the other hand was only giving me $0.15 per click and an affiliate program that no one ever uses.

My final thoughts on this are that you should just stick to using Adsense for now. TTZ media probably won’t work for you, if you have a blog that is about anything other then tech. If you have a Tech blog, then by all means try it out. However, if you don’t it will just be a waste of time. People will not click the ads.

TTZ media did not make me any money and probably won’t make you any as well, so my recommendation is to stay away from it if you wish to make money online because if you use it chances are you will make next to nothing.

If you are a user of TTZ media or have used TTZ media please share your thoughts about what you think of this program. I’m curious if you got the same results as I did.

Rob.

How many of you ever wanted to be like all the pro bloggers out there and get a chance to post on websites that get lots of traffic and has many RSS readers? Well, you my friend need to try your hand at guest posting.

I am now currently offering positions for guest posting here on my blog. All you have to do is send me your final post to me via my contact page and I will take a look at it and then decide whether I like it or not. If I approve of it then you will get full credit and I will link to your site when I post your submission.

There are however a few requirements that you must meet in order to post here. It’s not too much but just know that these have to be well thought out and constructed posts with good content that someone would enjoy reading. No spam please and thank you . Here are the requirements:

1.	The post must have to do with blogging and making money online. This can be anything from web design all the way to motivational posts to inspire readers.

2.	The post must be over 200 words. It does not have to be very long but a decent size read is nice, about the size of my regular posts. Keep it short and sweet .

3.	Lastly grammar and English must be very well. Please check for spelling errors and mistakes before you submit your posts. I don’t mind a few mistakes as I can correct them myself but if it is very bad then chances are I will send it back.

With all that being said, if you fit those requirements then send me your posts ASAP and I will review them and publish it.

Think of this as a way for you to brand yourself and get your name out there. It could mean more traffic and exposure for you which can only mean one thing, more opportunities to make money online.

Thanks everyone for your efforts and submissions. Have a great day!

Rob.

Site design a few years ago was not the same as it is today. Back then websites were relatively simple and anyone could design a simple website. Nowadays is different, in order to get around and make a name for yourself you must have a website that is not only your own but a website that looks good as well.

When you compare the internet to real life it seems that the two are very similar. In a sense your blog is like your appearance in real life. Think about this, if people see your blog as how you are in person, then all the rules apply with a website. That first impression has to be important, it accounts for everything.

When someone first visits your website they do not know what to expect. They have no idea what is going to pop up on that loading page in front of them. They are going to judge you by the way your website looks. If they do not like the way it looks then ‘’click’’ goes the back button and they are gone, in most cases forever.

Everything is based on appearance. It doesn’t matter how much content you have and how much information you offer your readers. Chances are if your website does not appeal to your visitors then they are not going to get that far as to even read your blog. All that work will be for nothing.

I know that this is not the way the world should be run but it’s never going to change. Even if you don’t judge something on the way it looks, everyone else is still going to, and believe me I know this from personal experience. I’m sure you know this as well.

This is why I stress that you carefully take into consideration the way your blog looks. If your blog looks good then you are going to get more readers. If it appeals to people and looks nice then you are going to make money online. If you website does not, well then chances are it will do everything except for what I mentioned above.

Go get a nice design. Don’t be afraid to ask for help and fork out some cash for a unique theme. Heck, there are even literally millions of free Wordpress themes out there just waiting for you. All you have to do is put in the effort. Enough said.

What is OIO Publisher?

OIO publisher is a plugin that is based around advertising on blogs. Which means that if you are a blogger and you are reading this then this may interest you . This plugin is developed by Simon Emery. OIO Publisher is definitely a must and I feel that every blogger should use this plugin if they do intend on making money online.

So how does it work?

The basic function of OIO publisher is to allow other people to advertise on your blog with the least amount of effort needed by you. If you are a blogger you will know that time is money and it is a real pain to set advertising up and make deals. With this plugin it does all of that for you. All the effort that is needed by you is to set your prices and your personal settings. Once that is taken care of you can just sit back and wait. This plugin is very convenient.

Once you download the plugin all you have to do is upload it to your server and activate it in Wordpress. After you do this you must get your key and activate it. Then you take a few minutes to personalize your settings and pick what suits you right. Once that is down you are good to go. All of this can be done in a span of about 10 minutes. That’s all that is required on your part. So, if you are lazy like me then this is a very nice feature.

What kind of ads does OIO publisher offer you?

OIO Publisher is very versatile in the ways it allows you to monetize you advertising on your blog. It allows you to do paid post reviews. It also allows you to put advertising links on your website. Lastly, it allows you to put banners and inline ads on your blog, all of which you can set your own price for and that can be purchased anytime and relatively quickly. OIO Publisher also rotates the ads on your blog so you can have multiple advertisers at once.

There is also a market place on the OIO Publisher website that you can submit your website too and allow advertisers to see. This can also get you some free traffic at the same time. This is a nice little feature that will help you make more sales with this great plugin.

Affiliate program

If you are interested in getting some referral points then you are in luck. OIO Publisher features an affiliate program that you can choose to use as well. Every time you get someone to download this plugin you will get paid and will get 50% of their commissions they make through it. If you can manage to get a few people to sign up then you can get yourself some nice extra cash :p .

Why I Recommend OIO Publisher?

Why I recommend OIO Publisher is for many reasons. I think that every blogger should use this plugin. It currently costs $37 right now to buy it. However, if you really want a good deal you can get it for $20. All you have to do is enter the coupon code ‘’QWERT-17’’ With that code you can get $17 dollars off. In my own opinion though it doesn’t matter how much you pay for it because you will earn it back very easily.

If you are really serious about monetizing your website and getting the best that you really can out of your blog then I highly recommend OIO Publisher.

If you want to add something or are already a user of this wonderful plugin then share your comments and opinions on it. Let others know what you think of it.
