The following video will show you how to create your very first email list on Aweber.
You can sign-up and get your first 30 days free by clicking here.
The very first thing we are going to do here is go to the AWeber free trial sign up page. I’m going to go to Google and type in AWeber free trial. It’s going to be one of the first links we click here. Also, at the very top of the website, we can see that the free trial is right here. We can just give that a click and take us to the same page here.
Here we have our page for our free trial. The URL is up top if you want to click it. Here we can put in our information. Fill out an account. I’m going to let you guys do that, and once you guys fill out that information, and you fill in your billing information, I’ll join you in the next part of the video.
Also, before I go, keep in mind that there are the different plans up top here. You can go for the free trial or the different price points, but again, for this video I’m just going to go with the free trial, just so we can get you set up right away.
All right, so here is the dashboard of my account here. We can see at the top here we have a current list we can select. I’m going to select my first list I made here, and we have some different apps and we can manage your lists. Here we have our messages. We can create some sign up forms to send our users. We can check out our subscribers, and there is also reports we can take a peek at as well. We scroll down here, we can see my different emails I’ve sent out and my different list stats.
What I’m going to do here is, I’m going to show you guys how to create your first list. In order to do that, you’re going to want to scroll to the very bottom of the page and click on this “Create A New List” button right here.
All right, so we can see that we are taken to this page here, and there’s already some pre-entered information. Make sure you select your address, so your subscribers can see that you’re actually a real person. Fill in your name and your email that you’re going to use to send your messages. All right, so I’m just going to click “Next” here, because we’ll just use this as example and everything’s pretty much already filled in here.
All right, so we have our list name and we have a list description. The description actually refers to, if you click this bottom part right here, it will tell you where your subscribers will see this. If your subscribers ever unsubscribe from your list, I guess it displays this list description. I’m not really sure, exactly, what that is, but just give us a short blurb about what your list is about. It looks like I’m going to have to add some information, and because I don’t know how to spell example, I’m just going to put “emaple” there.
The next page, we can confirm our subscription. If we want our visitors to get a follow up email or you can just set it to automatically confirm. Most of the time, you want to send a confirmation message, just to make sure your user wants to actually be subscribed to your list. You can edit this email here or you can just keep the default one. I’m just going to keep the default one for now. We can go “Approve Message” and our list will now be created on our dashboard.
If you go to the very top, you can see here that it’s now selected as our current list. If we have it selected, we can now target this list with messages, sign up forms. You can learn how to create another form.
I’m going to create another video here pretty soon that’s going to show you guys how to make a sign up form for your list and start gathering emails, but that’s pretty much the gist of AWeber.
We can see here, I’m pretty new to list building and don’t have a lot of subscribers. This is about maybe a month or so of me building out my list. I’m going to be making some more tutorials about AWeber and building your list online.
For now, if you’re completely new, check with the free trial. There’ll be a link in the annotation of this video, as well as the description of this video that’ll take you directly to that page if you’re interested.
Thanks for watching, everybody, and stay tuned for some more tutorials on AWeber and list building.
