Hey everyone, what’s up?
How’s it going?
Robin here doing another vlog, slash review video today. Today I’m going to be reviewing a new monitor that came in the mail the other day.
I’ll be doing a little unboxing video for you as well as a basic setup guide. The monitor’s pretty easy new install for the most part like most monitors.
I do apologize about the horrible lighting in my house when I did this video but I just wanted to do a little unboxing video ’cause I know some of you guys like that kind of stuff. If any of you guys are looking for a nice, good, cheap monitor, I highly recommend this one, you can grab it on Amazon by clicking here.
This is a BenQ monitor which is a lower, kind of budget brand monitor. The one I got I think was a, I want to say it was a 20, was it 21 inch or something like that? Check the video, the title will say in the description. (21 inch monitor).
But it’s a pretty good monitor, overall I think I paid about $130 and then with tax it was like $150 or so off Amazon. So you know, pretty decent price for the monitor.
Nowadays, monitors are pretty cheap especially if you want to get a budget one, and they look quite good for the most part. New monitors, they look really, really nice. They’re like TVs, they look really good and you can get them for a pretty cheap price overall.
If guys have any comments or anything like that, any questions about the product or anything like that, just let me know in the comment section and I’ll get back to you guys right away.
All right, so here’s the box that the BenQ GW2270 came in. My new HDMI 22 inch monitor as I mentioned before, wasn’t sure what it was. So it is in fact a 22 inch monitor. I’m just grabbing my knife here. I’m just going to try to cut open the box here and hopefully everything remains in shot here guys. I kind of had to this video by myself. I’m not the best at doing these types of videos. I apologize for all that kind of junk here as well.
Also want to recap is that I paid $150 Canadian for this monitor so I’m sure if you’re American based which is the regular currency, you’d pay about a $100 or so for a monitor like this. I’m just going to pull it out here. For some weird reason it came upside down, I don’t know if I opened the box upside down or not. I probably opened the box upside down but you can see that the monitor’s actually facing downwards. You can see the thing’s pretty compact and was packed in pretty good.
It looks like it came with a VGA cable. I’ll go through the parts in just a second here. Be pretty careful here not to scratch anything up. But overall the packaging was pretty good. Came in pretty good from Amazon.
Take off all this paper here, if I can find the opening. And, there we go. So you guys can see here that this is the main monitor. Probably can’t really see it very well in this picture. I’m going to show it off in just a second , we’ll actually turn it on and set it up and whatnot.
This looks like a plug in for some kind of power cord. Here’s the stand. So there is a mount for it. Just the basic desk mount though, nothing like a wall mount or anything like that.
Would be cool to get one of those in the future. Here we have more power cords. Instruction manual, even comes with a CD. Another part of the mount, I’m guessing, for the monitor. And then it comes with your standard VGA cable but it does not come with an HDMI cable so that’s important to know…
And you can see the different ports in the bottom here. So there’s some buttons there and then I think there’s a DVI and an HDMI port and a VGA port. So there’s one of each kind. Well technically two HDMI but one DVI and one just standard HDMI port and then of course the VGA port. Three ports in total. But that’s pretty much the unboxing here so let’s turn on the monitor and let’s see what everything looks like.
Okay, so here you have the monitor set up. Sorry about the lighting guys. It’s very hard with the window just above me. But here’s the monitor as you guys can see. This probably isn’t showing you guys the best picture but the picture quality of the monitor is actually pretty good. It’s a lot brighter than my Acer I have right behind it. Again, I don’t know if you guys can see this ’cause the lighting’s so horrible where I am. Overall, I really like the look of this monitor for the price. It’s quite good. You get your standard HDMI monitor for a 100 bucks or so. 22 inch with decent ports and looks really, really nice.
It’s an improvement over my other monitor for sure.
It’s got buttons here and one thing I do want to point out is if you’re setting this bad boy up, you’ll notice that it’s got different input settings and if it doesn’t turn on right away, you might have to select the actual import settings with those buttons. I had to do that myself, just so you guys know.
In the back there again, there’s those ports to hook it up but overall there’s not much to really talk about. It’s just your basic monitor. Looks pretty nice.
Here’s my nice little set up here.
That’s pretty much it for this video. Let me know what you guys think in the comments and I’ll see you guys later!
